My story: from autism diagnosis to business | NeurodiverseTea

What if you are 20 years and you find out that you aren't the person that you thought you were. I've always felt different from other people, but I didn't know why. I've only felt loneliness in a crowd full of people. Amidst the chatter and laughter, I was a silent observer around people that felt increasingly foreign
My whole perception of myself changed when I got this youtube video recommended to me.:
My image of autism before was a child obsessed there trains, like my brother who got has diagnosis when he was a child. Yes, I was sensitive to noise and hyperfixation, but in my mind I was too empathatic to be autistic.
I did have my own intense hobbies as a small child, for example, I made a 650 meter crochet boll as a child
But surely this was not autistic.... right?
The more I read about autism the more I came to understand myself. A whole world opened up to me. I had always felt different, and now I finally knew why. I din't feel broken anymore, I was just autistic.
I always felt so misunderstood as a child and teenager, this was partly because I and the people around me didn't know I was neurodivergent. Because of this I now want to spread awareness around autism so people feel less misunderstood. On social media I make short videos around this topic, I also share a behind the scenes of my business. With my products I hope people feel seen, and are more likely to accept themselves as autistic/
